Julie Novak

About

Julie holds a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology (MACP) from Yorkville University and has training in Narrative Therapy (NT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Emotionally Focused Therapy for individuals and couples (EFIT, EFCT). She is also a certified Narcissistic Abuse Treatment Clinician (NATC), as well as a trained crisis responder for Kids Help Phone and the 988 mental health line.

Her approach is grounded in narrative, emotion-focused, and person-centred therapies. Julie works collaboratively with clients to explore and reshape their personal stories, supporting the development of more coherent and empowering life narratives. She places a strong emphasis on understanding emotions and the meaning behind them, while tailoring her work to each client’s unique needs and goals.

Julie brings empathy, care, cultural sensitivity, and humility to her sessions. She is committed to creating a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where clients can feel comfortable exploring their experiences, fostering healing, and building meaningful connections.
