Depression
If you have depression, things that once gave you joy may now seem meaningless. You may have a sense of purposelessness, lack of energy, feelings of hopelessness and despair, low self-worth, and a belief that life is pointless.

Often, depression comes on slowly, with no known cause. Depression is not the same as sadness, which is a normal, healthy response to a major loss in one’s life.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a common and highly effective treatment for depression. It addresses the link between thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, with a focus on identifying and changing the faulty, negative, and exaggerated thinking patterns that lead to negative emotions and depression.
