Rates

GENERAL COUNSELLING:

Individual:

$150 per 50-minute session.

* $85 per session with one of our practicum students.

Couple / Family:

$160 per 55-minute session.

*Practicum student not available.

SPECIALIZED COUNSELLING WITH CERTIFIED SPECIALIST:

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) with Jenny DeReis:

$160 per 50-minute session.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) with Loralee Schultz:

$160 per 50-minute session.

$288 per 90-minute session.

Insurance Coverage

Counselling may be covered by your health insurance policy or employee benefits plan (e.g., Blue Cross, Sun Life, Canada Life, etc.)..

Please check with your policy provider by asking the following questions:
• Do I have mental health insurance benefits?
• What counsellor credentials are required?
• How many sessions does my insurance cover?
• What is the coverage amount per session?
• Do I need approval from my family physician?

Payment

Self-Pay: If you are paying for your own sessions, we accept cash, credit cards, and e-transfers.

Insurance: If you are covered by insurance, you will need to pay for the sessions yourself upfront and then submit receipts to your insurance provider for reimbursement.

EFAP & Other Third-Party Payors: If you are covered by Walmsley's Employee Family Assistance Program (EFAP), ICBC, FNHA, Métis Nation BC, RCMP, or Veteran's Affairs, we will bill them directly for your sessions.

Walmsley Counselling (EFAP)

Walmsley Counselling contracts with Validity Counselling to provide services to employees who have coverage under their Employee Family Assistance Program (EFAP). If Walmsley is your EFAP provider, please contact them directly for prior approval before contacting Validity Counselling to book an appointment.
